Welcome to Iron Horse Christian Youth Ranch

"May the beauty of the horse in movement, be the way your life flows with the

 direction of our Creator"

If we can reach the youth of today, it is our future for tomorrow.

This is the vision of Iron Horse Christian Youth Ranch. (IHCYR)

We believe in combining the therapeutic qualities of horses with

biblical principles to develop character and confidence.  John15:5

IHCYR is a non-profit 501(c)3 CHA Program. We focus on Equine Education, Equine Assisted Learning/Therapy, Horse Rescue /Rehabilitation and Training. Horses in our care will receive proper nutrition, veterinary and farrier care, updated vaccines, worming and training. We do set a reasonable limit on the number of horses we can take in to ensure good quality care.

We rely on donations and the support through the equine classes. We offer the horses for adoption ONLY when it is best for the horse. We have several horses, ponies/ mini donkey that will forever call IHCYR their home. To ensure safety around horses we need to observe horses, gain knowledge and always grow in our abilities. It is important to take responsibility for our interactions as we grow in our understanding of how God created these amazing and unique animals. Using effective communication (horse language- pressure/pain principles) with respect, to build a relationship with horses on the ground and when mounted.

We are offering volunteering for adults and youth that have participated in previous sessions and are able to work independently.

Please Contact us by text at 719-243-0843. Emails left on this website do not get checked on a regular basis, or you can email us at ihcyranch@yahoo.com.  Text is the best way to reach us.  We don't want to miss connecting with you.

The horses depend on you!   Donations and the  class sessions support the care and needs of the horses and animals.   This link takes you directly to Pay Pal for making any donation.  Thank you so much for your support!
