The vision of Iron Horse Christian Youth Ranch- "If we can reach the youth of today, it is our future for tomorrow".  We started over 16 years ago with youth education classes and riding instruction. We became a 501(c)3 in 2005. We continue to have a passion to share quality care for horses. Iron Horse Christian Youth Ranch started with a prayer for a mission field in our community. We believe there is great similarity in the relationship we can have with the Lord and the relationship we share with horses. It is all about listening, observing, communication and yielding.

      Equine Programs

  • Sponsorship (Hug a Horse Program) Sponsorship helps to provide care and rehabilitation for the horses.

  • Horse Rehabilitation/Rescue/Training Horses surrendered, donated, purchased or saved are assessed at IHCYR for health needs, farrier care and training. We are able to take in horses in need of homes based on our space available and try to help find homes for horses in need and evaluate and match up horses with families. Contact us if you are needing to surrender a horse and if we are able, we will help or assist in finding help for you.

  • Volunteering: Youth need to be in current sessions and have completed Level 1. Adults (18+) fill our volunteer application. The more donations we have enable us to save more horses and offer programs to encourage one another! You can also set up a time to come visit and meet us and the horses to see how you can serve and use your gifts God has given to you!
